MULTI SPORT SERIES

How long have you been playing Field Hockey?
I started playing field hockey in grade 9.  There are only 8 high schools in the Thames Valley board that offer it.  This is my third year in the sport.  My high school team, Parkside Collegiate, won an OFSAA silver medal this season.  I just made the U19 Ontario indoor field hockey team.

What is your favourite thing about it?
Field hockey combines aspects of soccer and hockey.  This allows me to utilize skills from other sports to field hockey.  Field hockey brought a new challenge as it wasn't a sport that is seen a lot of in this area.

How often do you travel for this sport, how many days do you attend practice, and how long are the practices?
For the provincial team I will be travelling to the Guelph area twice a week.  With each practice being 2 hours in length.  I played with the North Huron Field Hockey club during the past winter season.  They competed each weekend at Waterloo's RIM park.

What are the months of the season?  
Indoor season runs from November until March
