João Duarte NAMED NEW GRASSROOTS MANAGER AND GIRLS HEAD COACH 2022 IN THE OPDL WITH WHITECAPS LONDON
João Duarte will begin his new role with Whitecaps London immediately where he will work closely and report to current Whitecaps London Technical Director & Head Coach Pedro Dias.
João is no stranger to the London community. For many years João was the Head Coach and Technical Director with our affiliate Byron Optimist Club Soccer Club before to returning to Portugal to continue his coaching aspirations. As a part of our new structure, Joao will be the Whitecaps London GRASSROOTS MANAGER and will also be part of our selected OPDL coaches with a girl’s team in 2022. DUARTE holds his UEFA B and Canadian B licencing and also holds a Technical Directors Diploma from Ontario Soccer.
In addition…He will also be managing our PRE-OPDL (2009) OPEN TRIALS and Training.
